North Cascades Elopement

Christy & Tony were originally going to have a wedding in Seattle before COVID-19 forced them to switch plans. We were so excited to have the opportunity to showcase the beauty of Washington and help them elope, despite all the hardships along the way. These two, as we like to put it, were “troopers” throughout everything.

Seeing that we’d have clear skies, we decided to meet at 4am and start hiking for their first look. It was such a special moment and we had the whole space to ourselves. Sometimes, especially in the Pacific Northwest, you have to be willing to adapt–especially if you’re lucky enough to get beautiful, clear weather!

We hiked a half-marathon for Christy & Tony’s day. And while hiking with us isn’t typically that intense, we loved their enthusiasm to explore these beautiful mountains as we celebrated their marriage!!

We had scouted a beautiful spot for sunset that required a lot of hiking to reach, but in doing so, we were able to have the whole area to ourselves again. We ended the day by hiking back down the trail with headlamps, with a ton of amazing memories, and a hankering for pizza and beer.

These two really pushed themselves, on their own fruition, to explore and see so many amazing spots! But it’s important to remember with elopements, every couple wants an experience that speaks to them. So don’t feel inclined to hike and explore all day, as we tend to keep elopement days pretty simple. But in the case that you’re a hiking fiend and want a grand ol’ time, it definitely makes for amazing memories!
