Hiking, Epic Sunset, Bonfire, and Camping
Jordyn + Jonathan recently renovated a Sprinter van and headed West to explore with their new home! They were traveling through Colorado and reached out to us to meet up and do an adventure session in Great Sand Dunes National Park.
We snagged a couple of campsites next to each other, crossed Medano Creek, and started hiking up to Star Dunes (tallest dune in North America). It was a wild start though, within 10 minutes it was sunny, raining, and even snowing. We didn’t totally know if we’d get that epic sunset lighting. But we were determined to have fun exploring the dunes either way.
We had so much fun with Jordyn + Jonathan barefoot in the sand. It was their first time visiting Great Sand Dunes, and it’s still one of our Top 5 favorite National Parks to explore. Getting to hike across these vast dunes with mountains in the distance is just unreal. Not to mention Great Sand Dunes has hardly any light pollution. So it’s a great place to admire the night sky!
Until our next adventure J+J!
