Rebecca and Jeff flew out from New York to elope in the Redwoods with us this fall! Jeff is an arborist back home, so eloping among the redwoods was a dream come true! We were lucky and had a beautiful sunny ceremony in a redwoods grove, and moody weather at their VRBO’s private beach.
These two have been together since high school, and their love was so beautiful and easygoing. We, Ryan & Jaclyn call each other bear as our nickname for each other–so it was incredibly cute hearing their nickname for each other was squibby. We love a good relationship nickname!!
We started in the morning at their stunning VRBO overlooking the coast, before heading to the redwoods. It was such a beautiful ceremony with Officiant Jimmie leading the way. He always does such an amazing job, so we love every opportunity we get to work with him!
After their ceremony, we explored around the grove laughing, exploring, and chasing the light that was coming through the trees. It’s always mesmerizing seeing how the light changes in the Redwoods. It’s such a magical place and we’re always honored to come back here for an elopement!
We headed back into town for lunch and grabbed some delicious sushi (Rebecca & Jeff’s favorite). We love casual days like this where we didn’t even plan to grab sushi–but when you get hungry for your favorite food on your elopement day–we’re going to make it happen! We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying cake and heading back down to the beach for their first dance and a bonfire. Since it was a private beach, we had it all to ourselves to explore.
Rebecca & Jeff also got us THE most thoughtful gift of some posters from two very meaningful National Parks in our relationship. We cannot thank them enough for their thoughtfulness. It was such an amazing and casual day spent in their favorite landscapes–and we can’t wait to visit this married couple out in New York someday!!
