Amy and Brandon took a road trip across the country to elope in beautiful Crested Butte! I absolutely love it when couples road trip or give themselves time to explore and make even more memories in Colorado when they get married. These two brought their mountain bikes and their dog Grizz to celebrate and explore one of my favorite areas in the Rockies.
They started their day in a more casual fashion, opting to ride their bikes through the aspens, hang out with Grizz, and eventually go up to an alpine lake to enjoy the sunshine. It can be really helpful to ease into your wedding day by doing things you’re already comfortable with and enjoy together. For Amy + Brandon, that meant riding their bikes and walking with Grizz!
After a while at the lake, they changed into their wedding attire before exchanging vows at the lake. They were so giggly and sweet on each other during their vows. And it was really special to witness and document for them. They hugged and looked out at the lake before we all headed down the road to explore a few other of my favorite spots to celebrate! They made margaritas (their favorite) and sat down with Grizz to enjoy the stunning mountains around us (and Grizz hopped in the creek to swim of course).
We finished the day by going to an Aspen grove and watching the final alpenglow set on the mountains behind us. Amy, Brandon, and Grizz signed the marriage license back at the car. And then these two went on to continue their road trip! I’m so grateful these two trusted me to help them plan a super casual day exploring some of my favorite spots in Crested Butte.
