Connie and Andrew chose to elope in this spot when Connie and Andrew chose to elope in this spot when we took a much needed break while hiking through the snow. The sun was setting and we needed to set up camp soon, and I don't think we could have asked for a better spot!!
Sleeping bags count as wedding attire, right? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We're so happy to share more soon from this backpacking elopement weekend bonanza out in Lake Tahoe! We had such a great time exploring in the snow with these two, their friends, and their doggo.
We feel at home when we're driving through the Jef We feel at home when we're driving through the Jeffrey pines around Lake Tahoe. It's one of the many places where we feel like our true selves, we stop thinking so much, and all of that tension melts away. And while beautiful mountain towns bring us that peace, it's a really special thing when you find another human that can be that for you. And it's really hard to describe, but some moments in photos, you can just tell when a couple has that and they let it show.

Washington summers are pretty magical. Can't wait Washington summers are pretty magical. Can't wait to be frolicking about these mountains all summer long!
Nervous about being a fast enough hiker with us fo Nervous about being a fast enough hiker with us for your elopement day? Don't be!! Hiking isn't about being the fastest or showing how fit you are--it's about taking the time to enjoy the wildflowers, notice the wildlife, watch as the clouds roll in--it's about immersing yourself in nature. Jaclyn hikes at a much slower pace!! She loves taking photos of wildflowers and enjoying the views. While Ryan definitely is rarin' for a faster pace whenever he can. So by having both of us on the trail, you'll be able to set your own pace and know that we'll be right there beside you! We both started our hiking journey in Nike tennis shoes and IN JEANS. We both were not acclimated to the elevation of the mountains and didn't know what we were doing. We were out of breath, didn't have fancy gear--and didn't felt like we belonged. But over time, we educated ourselves, moved to the mountains, and got the proper gear to be comfortable and safe on the trail. Our goal is to be inclusive for all experience levels of hikers, but know that our goal isn't to help you be "faster" or more "athletic." Our goal is just to get you out there to have an intimate experience in nature! We'll get to know your hiking experience, chat about trails with you, and ultimately let you know what to expect. We are guides here to help you get out on the trail and maybe do something you wouldn't otherwise do on your own!
