Madison and Greg drove down from Wyoming to explore one of my favorite mountain towns for their elopement: Crested Butte! It truly feels like you’re driving in Switzerland when you make the drive from Gunnison into Crested Butte. I’m always so excited to share this amazing town and all of the trails! This time of year, the wildflowers were just starting to bloom for the season. So we were lucky to find tons of avalanche lilies blooming in an aspen forest!
I really enjoyed getting to know Madison and Greg more on their day! They were so chill and open to exploring any of the trails. They kept their details simple and I really enjoyed their “quiet” love. I love being able to give couples that are more shy or introverted more space just to be themselves. While this trail can be popular for mountain biking, we went a different direction on the loop and got more privacy for their special moment.
Why Crested Butte, Colorado?
It’s no secret that Crested Butte is one of my favorite mountain towns in Colorado. Especially for elopements and intimate weddings! As the wildflower capital of Colorado, it has tons of amazing trails to explore throughout the summer. It’s also great to explore in the Fall season (mid-late September) with the amazing fall colors in the aspen trees. Crested Butte is a super “relaxed” town with so much to do and explore. This place is usually one of my top recommendations for couples!
